1. Outdated Drivers
Drivers are an important component that enables the interface between your peripherals and your operating system. However, when the driver gets outdated, the communication between devices will be lost. So, that’s why it is recommended to keep the driver updated to its latest version.

2. Printer Error

3. Faulty Printer Configuration
If you haven’t configured your Canon printer properly, then you will also encounter the Canon printer not connecting to WiFi. So, to fix the problem, you need to reset your printer.

4. Internet Connectivity Issue

After getting familiar with the root causes of the problem, it will be easy for you to solve the problem. Go through the following problem-solving fixes to rectify the Canon printer not connecting to the WiFi network.

1. Update Printer Driver
As mentioned above, an outdated driver can also cause the Canon printer won't connect to WiFi. So, before jumping to further fixes, you should check, in case the printer doesn’t connect, the printer driver's status. Follow the below steps to update the printer driver.

Click on the Start icon and choose the option Device Manager.
Then expand the Print Queue section and right-click on Printer Driver.
After that, choose Update Driver and click on Search Automatically for Drivers.
Next, expand the Network Adapter section and click on Wireless Driver.
Now choose the option Update Drivers and then reboot your PC.
If you have more, then do the same for all the devices; like before, choose Search Automatically for Drivers.
Once done, reboot your PC and see if the problem is solved or not.

2. Check the Network Connectivity
The next step to resolve the Canon printer not connecting to WiFi issue is to check the network connectivity. Inadequate connectivity issues can also generate the exact problem. So, you need to ensure the printer is within the range of the WiFi network.

Check whether other devices are connected successfully to the network. If you have any issues, then restart your router. However, sometimes the problem occurs due to a connectivity problem.

3. Restart your Canon Printer
The next step to fix the Canon printer won't connect to WiFi is to restart the printer. So, power cycle the Canon printer and also the router. Sometimes, a simple restart solves the connectivity issues.

Restarting the printer doesn’t require too much workaround. To restart the printer and router, turn off both devices and wait for some time. After that, turn them on back and see whether the problem is solved or not.

4. Check for Printer Error
If you are still struggling with the Canon printer not connecting to WiFi, then check for a printer error. If your printer is running into errors, then you may encounter the same problem. So, you need to check your printer isn’t showing any error.

If it is in an error state, then try using the error code to fix the problem. The error code can occur due to paper jams, if the ink has run out, and many more reasons. Ensure you address the error code before printing.
