How to eliminate duplicate records in a query?

I am trying to generate a query from a table which has multiple dublicate records, but in the query, I don't want to show the duplicate record. I just want the duplicate records to show only one time.
Any idea?
Thanks!

I believe there is a "SELECT DISTINCT" SQL command, look that up and you should come across something.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. SELECT DISTINCT column_name(s)
  2. FROM table_name
  3.

Any idea?
Thanks!

Try to remember not to post the same question twice Elaine :( - we moderators have enough on our hands as it is. (I expect this one was accidental so no problem.)
