AccessXP (2000 Mode)
I use the following statements to create a database file:
DataFile = Path & "CouncilDBData.mdb"
Set Db = DBEngine.Workspaces(0).CreateDatabase(DataFile, dbLangGeneral)
I next run four make-table queries to ceate four tables in the database.
Finally, I try to zip the database and get the message 'File Not Found or No
Read/Write Permissions Or Sharing Problem". When I look in the folder,
CouncilDBData.mdb is there. Can anyone offer any in-sight as to what the problem
is? All the above actions are in the same procedure, might it be that the new
database file is not saved to the folder until the procedure is complete?

Could it be that the file is still flagged as Open and the message isn't
fully accurate? I don't know that's the case, but seems it could cause a
problem.

To add to Larry's posting see if the corresponding .ldb file is present when you do
the zip. If so something is still open against it.

Your response was 100% right. I added a line to set Db = Nothing immediately
before the zip code and all works well now. Thanks for the insight!
