alan connor ==> troll

Please don't feed this troll. Just do a google for his name in various
comp.* groups.

Basically the jist of "AC" is that he has a cursory understanding of a given
subject [in this case programming languages] then he spouts his "beliefs" on
everyone. This is the same who makes random statements like "PGP is bogus"
[paraphrased] and then when asked to back it up states "I've explained
myself before".

He's also known for preaching "netiquette " wherever he happens to be. Very
annoying.

Anyways, please don't feed this troll. He will stop [or at least he stopped
in sci.crypt] you just have to ignore him.

I don't know Alan Connor or Roose, I know they did some trolishness in
this group and perhaps in others that I don't read.

The name of that thread is misleading. Alan is not the idiot
there, most of those people that insult him however, are.

I'dont like injustice...

I'm learning to Program in C, and I was recommended a book called, "Mastering C Pointers", just asking if any of you have read it, and if it's worth the $25USD. I'm just looking for a book on Pointers, because from what I've read it's one of the toughest topics to understand. thanks in...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
