Javascript vs JSP
I would like to note that JSP and JS are 2 different languages and are not used for the same thing. You would find better help for jsp posting under the Java forum.
Posting GuideLines
Please follow these guidelines when posting questions. Submitting clear and concise questions allow those reading to understand your problem and respond easily.
Post your question in a relevant forum
- Give a clear title to your question
- Give as much detail as possible
- Clear explanation (in english if possible you will get more help)
- Platform / OS / Version
- Language
- Source code
- Input used
- Error Codes
Write in clear concise language using correct grammar and spelling.
For code, use the tag buttons at the top of the edit area:
Use
and
tags around your source code
Use the #-button to add CODE-tags around other code and add =javascript to the opening CODE-tag so it will appear as:
You will learn a lot more by attempting the problem yourself and asking for help with the bits that are not working and you will be more likely to get help if you appear to have made an attempt at the problem yourself. Lastly, it is common decency to acknowledge to your fellow members that you were helped by them or that your problem was solved (or not) thanks to their effort.
Using the Search Feature
Using the search feature before posting would greatly help to stop duplicate posts. So please use the search feature so we aren't answering the same question over and over again.
Getting mad because you can't figure it out and rejecting the help you are given will get you no where. If you don't understand something just reply saying which part you don't understand.
I read a post today where a guy was calling us all idiots and and arrogant this and that, Guess how much help he will get ... I'll go ahead and tell you none... I refuse to help you if you are going to be demeaning to the site or the people on the site.
Thanks for your understanding and lets keep everyone happy! :)
