Access 97 + Windows Vista

Someone has tried Access 97 on Windows Vista?
It works or there are serious problems?

Thanks

A97 works fine in Vista.

If you use multiple versions of Access, you will need to use a Run As
Administrator shortcut to get them to work. Details in:
Errors using multiple versions of Access under Vista

"Allen Browne"

A97 works fine in Vista.

Many thanks for your feedback Allen ;-)

I have not still tried the new release of MS Windows.
We have noticed problems with Access 97 on Vista with the chart
functionality that it would not be fully supported...

Bye

Chart? Can you elaborate?

Is this MS Graph? Or ...

And what problems did you experience?

And what leads you to believe the issue is Vista-specific?

Was there an issue with references (as discussed in the link)?

Ok.

In connection with the problem that you have noticed (that regards also the
runtime versions):

http://allenbrowne.com/bug-17.html

A friend of mine has contacted "sagekey" for knowing if one future version
of their famous scripts, will workaround the bug.

Their answer:

"The problem with Access 2007 is one which we have specifically dealt with
in the new versions of the scripts.

We have noticed some problems with Access 97 on Vista such as the chart
functionality isn't fully supported. I presume that you have fully tested
and know that you still have all functionality of your application on Vista.
We will have a 97 install solution but want to make customers aware that as
Microsoft have stopped supporting 97 and 2000 it's going to be increasingly
difficult to keep the same functionality"
Perhaps, do you haven't still tested MS Graph 97 on Vista?

Bye
