GUIDELINES: Layout of Job/Candidate Adverts

This forum is for Developer and Programming jobs only. All other jobs posts will be deleted. It is also acceptable for Candidates to post their details looking for jobs as long as they follow the guidelines outlined below.


JOB POSTINGS

The posting should be in English. Postings in other than English will be deleted and have to be re-posted after translation. This goes along with the site Posting Guidelines that layout that this is an English speaking site.

Title should inlcude the word JOB for salaried jobs and CONTRACT for contract work being offered. Title should also include the basic technology requirement and the Location. See following examples ...

JOB: Oracle 9i - NY, USA
CONTRACT: VC++, .NET - LDN, UK

The body of the post should contain the following information.

  • good description of the job requirement
  • contact info
  • compensation
  • whether job has an onsite requirement or can be done remotely
This forum is also open to Voluntary Organisations and Charities who may wish to advertise for volunteers. Please mark threads with VOLUNTEER: at the beginning of the title.


CANDIDATE POSTINGS

For Candidates who wish to post advertising their services the following guidelines should be followed:
  • Name
  • Location
  • Skills
  • Education
  • Job expirence if any including number of years
  • Contact info unless you opt to use the sites PM facility.
Postings which don't contain this minimum information will be deleted.


NOTE

Remember this is a jobs forum and not somewhere to post your requests for programming help.

Any posts which do not fit into the guidelines for this forum will be deleted or moved as appropriate.
