Storing files in Postgresql database

Hello
I want to upload many files with .spu extension (80000 files which has metadata) in raw format in to a databases using postgresql
Can anyone suggest me way to do it.Waiting for your replies.

You may want to follow the links in that thread to get more information on the topic.

If you are going to use the client libpq interface for coding this link can be also helpful:

By the way, I made an assumption that this question is about SPU Image files

If we had to store text files we could use a different approach and a different datatype: either character varying without a length specifier, or text
