Looks like a bunch of jibberish to me. Where did you get it from?
Then it could be Digest or MD5 but it could be anything.

59 characters? It's not a standard md5 or sha1 hash. Probably proprietary.

Can you give us the hex dump of it instead of the characters?
I just gave you a short sample, Below is the full version:

Below is a short sample of a encoded message, does anybody recognize what encoding this is? It is not base64.
What makes you think it is not Base64? The character set is identical, so I would assume that Base64 is at least the first step in the process of deciphering this string.

It is not Base64!
It contains invalid characters to be Base64
Decoding it using Base64 came out like this: (first three lines) - &V7!ڤvrV$*[hJG{\(bPW@hE?|YH
-
JHd)LHT
-
%ծ Ĕ( ӼF5

Oh?
Which ones? Wikipedia's article on Base64 states:
...There are other variants that use '_-' or '._' when the Base64 variant string must be used within valid identifiers for programs....
so in this situation _ and - may very well be appropriate characters for the data. Judging by the character set, I am strongly leaning towards base 64 as the first stage of encoding.
What are you talking about?
See for yourself, the decoded string using Base64 doesn't come close to anywhere!
If your so sure it's Base64 then go ahead and decode it! There are many online decoders, but the decoded string looks worse than the original string!

Unless you take a second to consider that the result might very well be binary data, in which case is is perfectly reasonable to base-64 encode it to incorporate in an error message (for logging purposes, in a database perhaps).

Deep breaths, everyone. Deep breaths.
It's probably just a chunk out of the middle of a video stream or something.

I would have to agree with this. I've had problems viewing links to .mov or ogg encoded video streams and if I do not have the proper filter installed in firefox all I get is streams of jibberish that would decode to video and audio had I installed the proper plugins.
It's probably just a chunk out of the middle of a video stream or something.
It's definitely not.
On this error page they asked me to report this to then and give them this block of code.
So it's some real stuff, not an accidental chunk...

Could be a portion of a movie file that caused the error. The YouTube staff might want to analyze it so see where the exception got thrown.
Why they need you to send them the data manually instead of using an automated logger, though.... Dunno about that one.

It does seem a little odd, given that they had to transmit it to you in the first place.

Just for fun paste the whole thing. I'm curious to see it.
Ok guys.
Here it is.
When I got the error page I saved it, and now, by popular demand I've uploaded it!
Here's the link. http://mendy.pellin.lost.kapota.butt....com/watch.htm
I was innocently trying to watch a video when I got this page.
So I turned here for help in decoding it....

Looks like it can only be deciphered by highly trained monkeys.

Just superficially, it seems a lot like what you see if you look inside a JPG file.
