Before You Ask A Question

Many people ask simple questions suck as, "How do i make a button in flash?" The answers to these questions can be found all over the internet in numerous articles and tutorials, so posting a thread is pointless. The first step before asking a question, is to always search Google.

"But Kestrel, my question is way too complicated to be in a tutorial." However, you'll be surprised with the number of tutorials out there.

You can find tutorials on

Calculating square roots
Collision Detection
Flash forms
Simulating gravity
Creating Graphs

and thousands more.

So please, search Google before you post, it will save you time and energy.

This is a good point!

I also find the Flash help files a great resource but it does require some understanding of terminology. The more I understand AS the more helpful they become.

To all beginners out there I can't stress enough how important it is to learn proper debugging techniques. Flash help has a debugging section. I suggest you read it. My learning curve increased dramatically once I understood how to debug correctly and it feels good to solve your own problems.

Just my two pence worth.
