I sometimes (frequently) have the same urge to post the link in a thread when someone is complaining about the promptness and accuracy of the help.

Wow, That's is a LOT of errors. That's ridonkulous. He should consider another hobby.

I finally got around and read this posting.
Some folk start of way over their head, they need to start small and build their page. They see all the bells and whistles and they think they can do it, then they get lost and frustrated and then they expect others to help them, and if we don't understand what they want they get mad at us or even worst not helping them fast enough. Sometime folks we are doing some research for you to find the answer.
It's also nice to just say thank you... we put a lot of our personal time in helping you.

PS sorry I when off a little on the subject...

At one time, I had over 400 errors on my HTML page. I was about to chuck it and go back to what I was doing before programming - nothing. The first error, leaving out either a tr tag or a td tag (I forget which) cause several other errors. Plus, I had done this several times. The other error: I forgot to put the silly "alt" info in every one of my image links. So, sometimes its only 2 errors that cause the most damage and make it appear that the programmar made hundres of different errors, when they really didn't. Therefore, I like to give newbie programmars a break.

I once had a page with a dynamically generated table with an error or two every row. And since the table was generated dynamically there were some 2k+ errors when the table was really big. Of course, mine still worked because it was pretty simple, I was just validating to double check...

I get the irony. Still, i think jhardman and tpgames got it right. We need to keep in mind that the whole css things is about expanding the tools (...teach a man to fish...) to as many users and websites as possible - to empower ordinary non-tech users at every level (including css-newbies like me). Some will ask real dumb questions, be real lazy, not know how to employ resources, or just be plain old duh-huh? Still, we don't want them to just give-up and walk away - anyone who 'doesn't get-it' is our loss, not just theirs.
