Quick Report Question

my current format (for my report) is

Date | Total1 | Total2 | Total3
Date | Total1 | Total2 | Total3

how can i change it so that it reads like this:

Date__|__Date
Total1_|_Total1
Total2_|_Total2
Total3_|_Total3

(i want columns instead of rows)

i even tried organizing it through a pivot form but hit a dead end. it seems to me that this would be a question that would have been gone over before but i guess i'm not searching the right keywords or something.

Thank you!!

fwiw, if i change the layout of the fields from tabbed to stacked, it displays it exactly how i would like it. however, the next recordset starts on the next page.

so
a) how do i make the data start a new column instead of a page
and
b) once this is accomplished, rather than having the header repeat itself for every column, how do i make the "header" only display once?

if someone would please reply, i would very much appreciate it.

i have now tried to change the vertical property to "no" on the textboxes in the report. this displays everything great in the report view. it's not a perfect solution but it is acceptable. now, for a new problem. when i go into print preview, the text is displayed properly, but every number shows up as ######. i widened the field and that did nothing. i thought it might be a printer error so i exported it into pdf but i received the same result.

here are illustrations of my headaches:

this is report view

this is print preview

can somebody please help? i have tried 3 different ways to do this (explained above), and everytime one minor thing is keeping me from completing it :-(
