SOFTWARE ENGINEER
DESCRIPTION:
Software needed for a 1-year contract to assist in the analysis, design, testing, and documentation of control and analysis software for high precision optical interferometer, which will be used in an upcoming NASA space mission.
The position involves working in a mixed Windows/Linux development environment to assist in the analysis, development, review, and testing of instrument hardware interfaces, data analysis algorithms, and GUI software models—all written in Python and C/C++.
REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizen
Minimum of 5 years of experience with C/C++
Python (Desired)
Java or Tcl/TK
Strong knowledge of software engineering practices such as requirements, modeling techniques, OOD patterns, code metrics, and testing methodologies.
DESIRED:
Experience/education in physics, optics, optical testing, or image processing
