Dear Sir,

Currently I use Clipper 5 for for developing customised accounting software (DOS based). Now I want to use windows based language. I want to know:

1. Can I make an accounting software in C#.
2. What will be the other requirements.
3. Which database will be suitable for it.
4. Suitable book for it alongwith examples to achieve the above requirements.

Kindly explain me in detail.

1.Yes you can use C
2. Are you asking us to give you requirements for making accounting software or are you asking for programming skill requirements?
3.You could use Oracle
4.I don't think there is a specific book out there for just making accounting software with C, there are books that will teach you the language and then you can apply what you learned to make the software.

I think the OP was asking about C# not C.

Re: Accounting Software
hi ...

to give more specific advices you should add much more information about the requirements. may be it should be a webbased application? may be it should be platform independent? etc. etc. ... you could use any database or programming language to write a accounting software but some are more suitable then others depending to specific requirements ...

kind regards
